Newsflash! Wayne Knight is alive.

"Some of you will be glad to hear this, others strangely disappointed," the actor well-known for his role as Newman on "Seinfeld" tweeted Sunday. "But … I am alive and well!"

Knight is the latest celebrity to fall victim of a death hoax. Several outlets published a story indicating that the actor was killed in a tractor-trailer accident on Saturday night near the Pennsylvania-New York state border.

"Police have identified the deceased as the lovable 'Newman,'" a website appearing to be TMZ reported. "McKean County Coroner Jeff Levin said Knight died of blunt force trauma at the scene."
