Judge Joe Brown now knows exactly how it feels to be held in contempt! A Memphis juvenile court judge had the TV star jailed after he had a shocking outburst in the middle of a hearing on March 24. Now check out Judge Joe’s mugshot right here!
Judge Joe Brown was arrested and sentenced to five days in jail for contempt of court on March 24, after he lost his temper and ”incited a near riot” while representing a client in a child custody case in Memphis, Tenn.
Judge Joe Brown Arrest — His Shocking Mugshot After Courtroom Outburst
Apparently the 66-year-old judge is not a very patient man. Judge Joe showed up to a Memphis, Tenn. court to represent a client in a child custody case on March 24, but was asked to leave after court staff said they had no record of the case. That’s when things got way out of hand and Judge Joe lost it!

Judge Joe “incited a near riot” and became verbally abusive toward the judge in open court after being asked several times to pipe down, TMZ reports.
Joe refused to calm down, so the judge on the bench, Magistrate Harold Horne, finally had him thrown in jail for contempt of court for five days! He was later released on his own recognizance – it remains to be seen whether he’ll have to serve the five-day prison sentence.
Judge Joe Brown Running For Shelby County D.A. — Will Arrest Hurt Him?
Judge Joe is currently running for D.A. of Shelby County, where he used to be a judge, and this arrest can’t be good for his campaign.
Judge Joe became a household name in 1998 when his reality court show Judge Joe Brown first aired. After 15 years on the air, the show was canceled in March, 2013.
