Shakira is one busy woman! She released her self-titled album ‘Shakira’ on March 26, then hit the stage the next morning on the ‘Today’ show to perform two songs — and looked hotter than ever. Watch the performance here.
Shakira rocked Rockefeller Center in all black everything! She performed two songs to celebrate the release of her tenth studio album! She also just released the music video for her single, “Empire” — and you’ve got to watch it below.
Shakira’s ‘Today Show’ Performance
We all love Shakira’s classic hit ”Hips Don’t Lie,” but when she took the stage on the Today show, she started off by taking it super slow and hotter than ever! At 37, she looked completely flawless in a black top, black ripped jeans and a black leather jacket with tassels on it.
Her blond locks were naturally wavy and down, looking amazing as usual.
After singing her ’06 hit, she took on her new single, “Empire,” which we are totally obsessed with. The video for the song came out on March 24 too, and is one of our favorites already (watch it below!)
Shakira’s New Album: A ‘Reflection’ Of The ‘Happiest Times’ Of Her Life
Her new album has already topped the charts in 60 countries — and it’s no surprise because she was just announced as the most “liked” celeb on Facebook with 86 million likes!
“I think this is one of my most personal albums due to the past two and a half years,” she said on Today. Not only has she gotten a new gig as a judge on The Voice, but she also had her first baby, Milan Piqué Mebarak in January 2013.
“I’ve been going through a lot of events. It’s been a very eventful time — probably the most complete and happiest time of my life,” she said. “So many of these songs are a reflection of that, they’re very personal.”
As for her time on The Voice, she’s ready to take down the boys!
“I love my team! There’s a very serious aspect to this show, which is mentoring and helping new talent flourish,” she said, before adding that it’s not always serious! “It’s playtime; I’m surrounded by boys, they’re like 13!”
One of those “boys” is judge Carson Daly, and we’ve got to say we were so excited that they shared a pic from 14 years ago of Carson and Shakira hanging at TRL! And they both still look so freaking good!
