WWE Payback 2014 Results: Victories That Will Shake Up Company - Bleacher Report

The dust from WWE Payback 2014 is beginning to settle, and some feuds are coming to an end following the hugely successful show.

John Cena and Bray Wyatt are unlikely to go around again following their pretty enjoyable Last Man Standing match, for example. And while that victory for Cena is probably not going to have too much of an impact on the company, the same cannot be said about every result at Payback.

Some results have sent shock waves through the company and will certainly have lasting effects in the coming months. Let's examine the victories that will no doubt shake up the WWE following Payback.

Sheamus defeating Cesaro

It is the loser of this match who will be shaking up the company.

Cesaro is on an interesting path at the moment, as a couple of people have started to question whether his heel turn has been a success.

His loss to Sheamus at Payback is hardly terminal, as bigger things are expected of Cesaro than winning the United States Championship. After all, he held the belt for a lengthy period when he first burst onto the scene in the WWE.

Expect some big statements from Cesaro in the coming weeks leading up to Money in the Bank, where he will be surely one of the favorites to go on and claim that illustrious briefcase.

Rusev defeating Big E

Rusev faced his first real test since joining the main roster when he stepped into the ring to face Big E at Payback.

Both men put on a great show, but the fact that Rusev knocked off his opponent pretty quickly suggests that his push is only going to get bigger as the months go on.

It will be interesting to see if the WWE will throw him into the Money in the Bank ladder match at the upcoming pay-per-view or whether it will steadily build him up as a monster.

Either way, his next opponent will have to be picked carefully. If that happens, Rusev could be in for a major move up the card over the next few weeks.

The Shield defeating Evolution

The actions of Seth Rollins on the Raw after Payback have certainly changed the landscape of this incredible rivalry, but The Shield's victory over Evolution has already had a big impact on the WWE.

After all, the clean-sweep win was enough to ensure that The Shield was, without doubt, the top stable in the company. But Rollins' defection to Evolution has changed all that.

Rollins is going to have to come forward and explain his reasoning for turning on Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, and we are surely going to see another match at Money in the Bank involving what is left of both The Shield and Evolution.

One thing is for certain, though: The result at Payback was only the beginning of yet another interesting twist in this most incredible of rivalries.
