Oklahoma State's Marcus Smart shoves fan in loss to Texas Tech - FOXSports.com

Updated FEB 09, 2014 2:10a ET

It's been a rough week for No. 19 Oklahoma State, and Cowboys' star Marcus Smart couldn't hold back his frustration in the final minute of a 65-61 loss to Texas Tech on Saturday night.

After committing a hard foul and tumbling into the crowd, Smart shoved a Red Raider fan in the stands.

No word on what the fan said, but it was enough to anger Smart, who received a technical yet somehow wasn't ejected.

He continued to argue with officials as Texas Tech students rushed the court to celebrate the upset.

Neither coach got a clear look at what happened in the altercation.

"I didn't see it yet. I want to make sure I see it and see what happened," Cowboys coach Travis Ford said following the loss. "I'm still trying to figure it out."

Big 12 officials will likely review what happened and Smart could face suspension.

"You really have to find the film to see what happened," Texas Tech coach Tubby Smith said. "I assume the officials saw what happened. That's why he got a technical out of it. The frustration when you're losing sometimes on a losing streak, I've been there before, it can be tough. I'm sure he regrets doing that, whatever he did, so things like that happen in the heat of the battle."

But the man involved apparently wasn't just any regular fan. He's Jeff Orr, Texas Tech basketball super fan.

This also wasn't Orr's first time in the spotlight. He was caught on camera from the same seat making gestures to Texas A&M players during a game in 2010.

Oklahoma State was a top 10 team last week, but now the Cowboys have lost four in a row.

Smart also responded to claims this week that he has become known for flopping in games.
