When it was announced on Jan. 19 that ‘Shipping Wars’ star Roy Garber, 49, passed away following a major heart attack on Jan. 17, celebs and fans were stunned and took to Twitter to send the Garber family their condolences.
As one of the more beloved personalities on A&E’s Shipping Wars, celebs and fans alike were shocked and saddened when it was announced that Roy Garber had passed away on Jan. 17 following a major heart attack. Many took to Twitter to send heartfelt condolences and messages of grieving.
‘Shipping Wars’ Star Roy Garber Pases Away: A&E Stars React
A&E released a statement on Jan. 19 that read:
We are deeply saddened by the loss of a member of the A&E family. Our thoughts are with Roy’s loved ones during this difficult time. He will be missed.
Shipping Wars has just finished airing its fifth season, so Roy’s fanbase has had plenty of time to get to know the departed star, which has made the Twitter reaction to his passing away all the more heartbreaking.
Robbie Welsh, Roy’s co-star on the hit show, had this to say:
For those who don’t know, Carter is Robbie’s young son. So sad!
Ricky Smith, a fellow A&E star on Storage Wars Texas, also had a heartfelt message for the Garber family:

Shipping Wars fans have also been tweeting out their condolences in droves. It’s so clear that Roy was loved by the American public, and friends and family are going to need the support that Roy’s fans are doling out:
