Ariana, you were upset by people attacking your hairstyle at the Grammys, a Jan. 28 report claimed. But I want you to know, I love your hair and your beauty style — here are some of my favorite looks.
Ariana Grande, you’ve been criticized that you always wear your hair the same. So much so that you felt the need to write a 250 word explanation on Instagram. But the fact is, you do switch it up, and take risks. Either way, you should do what makes you look and feel great. Here’s why I think you should ignore the haters and celebrate you!
Ariana Grande’s Same Hairstyle — Why She Still Looks Amazing
Ariana, you said that years of dying her hair red for her roles on Nickelodeon shows Victorious and Sam & Cat have left her hair “broken” and wrecked.
You admitted that wigs looked ridiculous on you and extensions are the only way your “destroyed” hair looks normal.
Ariana, I want you to know that at HollywoodLife.com, we think you are beautiful and you can wear your hair however you want!
In fact, you have switched up your style over the past year. In Dec. 2012, you dyed your hair dark and it looked amazing against your olive skin tone. Your hair looked healthy and shiny.
Then in April of 2013, you went back to red. At the Radio Disney Music Awards, you added an adorable headband, really showing off your girly style. It looked so cute!
More Looks We Love
More recently, you experimented with braids at a Jingle Ball in Texas in December 2013. Again, a super sweet look.
At the Grammys, you rocked your signature style. Listen — there is nothing wrong with having a style that makes you feel good about yourself. Confidence is so important and also so hard in an industry that criticizes and judges appearances so often.
I first met you back in Dec. 2011 and you’ve always loved a retro, vintage, and feminine style. You’ve made it your own and totally rocked it!
How To Make The Growth Process Easier
You said in your explanation: “So as annoying as it is for y’all to have to look at the same hairstyle all the time, it’s all that works for now (AND I’m comfortable for the first time in years). And trust me, it’s even more difficult for me to have to wait forever for my natural hair to grow back and to have to wear more fake hair than every drag queen on earth combined. So PLEASE gimme a break about the hair (or just don’t look at me lol). IT’S JUST HAIR AFTER ALL.”
You’re right — it’s just hair. It should be fun!
I think adding chic accessories like headbands and bows make sense for who you are and are a cleaver way to add where the extensions and your natural hair meet.
Braids are very trendy and adorable as well.
To ensure your natural hair grows fast and is healthy, treat it with a mask like MOROCCANOIL’s Intense Hydrating Mask once a week. Use SHU UEMURA Art of Hair Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Oil for extra repair.
