Is there a country catfight brewing? The Country Music Association Awards (the CMAs) brought out all the stars to Nashville on Wed., Nov. 6 -- and "Merry Go Round" singer Kacey Musgraves was one of the night's winners, nabbing the New Artist of the Year trophy and bringing down the house with an electric live performance of her song "Follow Your Arrow." Still, the acclaimed newcomer and Texas native, 25, appeared to have a sour moment during the evening when she lost the Best Female Vocalist trophy to Miranda Lambert.

Although 29-year-old Lambert (looking slimmer and sexier than ever) acknowledged and congratulated Musgraves' success as she accepted her own award, Musgraves was spotted frowning and looking generally unhappy in the audience. (Lambert and Musgraves have collaborated in the past, with the younger star co-writing Lambert's smash "Mama's Broken Heart."
