American Music Awards 2013: Ariana Grande earns applause from Lady Gaga ... - New York Daily News

Even Lady Gaga can recognize the talent in 20-year-old Ariana Grande.

The pop superstar got on her feet at the American Music Awards on Sunday night to give her own applause to Grande, who performed a vocally impeccable rendition of her song "Tattooed Heart."

The newcomer to the crowded pop scene  who even won New Artist of the Year at the AMAs  has eclipsed age mates like Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez with her vocal ability, and Gaga, 27, isn't the only one that has noticed.

In October, Katy Perry even declared that Grande has the "best voice out in music right now," during a Sirius XM radio interview, adding that she's "obsessed" with the Nickelodeon actress-turned-singer and offered her advice.

"Tonight was the coolest," Grande tweeted to her fans Sunday night. "Thank you times a million."

"That was the most nerve wracking thing ever."
