College football Top 25 polls: Baylor moves past Ohio State; Texas A&M rises - Dallas Morning News

Baylor continues to stake its claim as a national title contender. The Bears' victory over Texas Tech Saturday night was more impressive than Ohio State, which scored a 60-35 win over an Illinois team that is winless in the Big Ten and has losses of 20 points to Nebraska and 17 points to Indiana.

But while Baylor moved ahead of the Buckeyes in the AP Top 25, the Bears are still behind in the coaches poll, which counts toward the BCS Standings.

If there was any doubt that Baylor’s biggest hurdle toward an unbeaten season would be Oklahoma State next Saturday in Stillwater, it was removed in the Cowboys’ 38-13 win over Texas at Austin.
