Turn Your Top Instagram Pics of 2013 Into a Video - Mashable

What's This?

How was your year on Instagram? If you're not sure how to answer that question, Statigram has a pretty good summary.

The Instagram-tracking service released a new tool that unearths the five most popular photos posted to your Instagram account in 2013 and turns them into a short video. It measures popularity by likes, plain and simple, showing the count over each pic as the slideshow progresses.

If you haven't seen one of that Statigram-made videos in your feed, just search the #memostatigram hashtag on Instagram for many, many examples (mine is embedded below). The search turns up more than 38,000 posts as of this writing.

The tool is "free," although you will need to connect your Instagram account with Statigram to get your video. Once you do that, Statigram warns that it might take days to email you the video due to its popularity, but mine came within minutes.

You still need to post the video manually by saving it to your phone, then uploading to Instagram like you would any other video. (If you're on the iPhone and using the Gmail app, you'll need to open the email in native Mail client in order to save it.) No need for a filter since Statigram already overlays one.

Statigram takes only five photos from your feed, and there's no way to change that number. If you want to create shareable slideshows with more of your Instagram photos, you might want to try Everlapse.
