Floyd Mayweather will try to improve his record to 46-0 with a victory at the MGM Grand on Saturday night. He defeated Canelo Alvarez via a controversial majority decision in his last fight this past September, getting past Canelo Alvarez 116-112, 117-111, and 114-114. He is putting his WBC and The Ring welterweight titles on the line.
WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana has won four straight fights and is 35-3 overall. He defeated Adrien Broner via unanimous decision (115-110, 116-109, 117-110) this past December at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
Mayweather is reportedly guaranteed $32 million for this fight, while Maidana will get $1.5 million.
The three undercard fights on pay-per-view before Saturday's main event between Mayweather vs. Maidana will be J'Leon Love vs. Marco Antonio Periba n, Adrien Broner vs. Carlos Molina, and Amir Kahn vs. Luis Collazo.
