Michelle Obama, Malala Yousafzai, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and now Justin Timberlake, Ashton Kutcher and more stars are fighting to force a vicious Nigerian terrorist group, Boko Haram, to release more than 200 innocent Nigerian schoolgirls they have kidnapped.

Imagine being at school writing your college entrance exams and then suddenly being forced at gunpoint into trucks and then driven into the jungle and into the hands of a terrifying group of Islamist militants.
That’s exactly what happened to more than 200 innocent schoolgirls in northern Nigeria on April 14. They are now being held at an undisclosed location and they have no idea if they will ever see their families or homes again.
But what’s even worse than this is that the Nigerian government has done almost nothing until now to save the girls, despite the desperate pleas of their parents.

It’s only because the girls’ parents and women across Nigeria began street protests demanding the girls’ release that the Nigerian government is being embarrassed into some action.
Here’s how detestable the Islamist group imprisoning the girls is: Their very name, Boko Haram, means “Western education is forbidden.” They have been waging a violent war against the Nigerian government for years, killing more than 4,000 people, recently bombing a bus station in the Nigerian capital of Abuja and murdering more than 71 people. And now, the group is threatening to sell the abducted girls as “brides.”
Could this terrorist group be any more cowardly? Who else but cowards would kidnap schoolgirls?
But then, this group completely disrespects women in general and wants to rule Nigeria with Sharia law, which virtually takes away all women’s rights.
Fortunately, on May 6, President Barack Obama announced that he had offered the Nigerian government military and intelligence help to find and release the girls. “Obviously, it’s a heartbreaking situation, outrageous situation,” President Obama told ABC on May 6.
Bring Back Our Girls: Urge The Nigerian Government To Take Action By Hashtagging #BringBackOurGirls
First Lady Michelle Obama has also joined the cause, Instagramming a photo of herself holding a “#BringBackOurGirls” sign and captioning the photo, “Our prayers are with the missing Nigerian girls and their families. It’s time to #BringBackOurGirls.”
Amy Poehler, Malala Yousafzai, Jessica Biel, Kendall Jenner, Mary J. Blige, Leona Lewis and Kourtney Kardashian are just a few of the female stars who have posted photos of themselves with “#BringBackOurGirls” signs.
Male stars such as Justin Timberlake, Ashton Kutcher and Sean Penn are also trying to help, uploading photos of themselves with placards announcing “#RealMenDontBuyGirls.”
The bullies of Boko Haram aren’t “real men,” they are losers. Their leader, Abubakar Shekau, announced in a video released on May 5 that he would “sell” the girls as “brides.” But what he really means is that he will sell the girls into sexual slavery.
How selling schoolgirls into sexual slavery can be justified by any kind of religion, I don’t know. But he and his brutal followers, like the Taliban, are distorting their Muslim religion.
So, do your part and tweet and Instagram the #BringBackOurGirls hashtag, demanding that the Nigerian army rescue these innocent schoolgirls and return them to their families.
