Things are heating up under the Italian sun for Zac Efron, 26, and Michelle Rodriguez, 35, who were spotted kissing and cuddling on a yacht off the coast of Sardinia over the Fourth of July weekend.
The Neighbors star and Fast and Furious actress "were laughing with their friends, cuddling and playing a lot," says a source who saw them on Sunday. "They looked like a new couple very much in love and excited to be together."
The group spent about four hours on the boat, adds the source: "They were climbing, doing flips into the water, taking pictures of each other."
Just how did the pair wind up sunning in Sardinia? It helps to know a fun-loving (and very rich) Italian. Efron and Rodriguez were staying with entrepreneur Gianluca Vacchi at his luxurious home, L'Eremita (The Hermit), in Bologna, before catching a ride on his priva te jet to the exclusive Sardinian town of Porto Cervo.
Vacchi is a self proclaimed "public personality" who has worked as an executive at SEA, a motor-home manufacturer, and sits on the board of directors of IMA, his family's Italian manufacturing company.
Vacchi has been Instagramming and posting on his lifestyle site throughout the trip, including a video of him and Efron doing synchronized backflips off a boat while Rodriguez captures the moment in the background.
The Bologna-born businessman, who was also spotted vacationing with Rodriguez in Porto Cervo back in 2011, is known for embellishing all his possessions (including his properties, his Bentley and his helicopter) with his initials, GV.
The threesome and other guests of Vacchi made the most of the large gardens surrounding his multi-million-Euro property in Bologna to play tag, pose for photos on the large bright colored animal sculptures and swim in the outdoor pool.
To maintain his chiseled bod, Efron was also seen having some guy time, car rying dumbbells and working out around Porto Cervo with Vacchi.
Vachhi also instagrammed a video of him, Efron and Rodriguez playfully dancing with props to DJ Snake and Lil Jon's Turn Down for What.
